Saturday 8 May 2004 - Golden Cow Games

The band will be playing at the opening of the Golden CowYouth Games at Queen's University Belfast, Malone Sports Facilities.


Sunday 30 May 2004 - Stormont Grounds, Belfast

The band will be playing at the start of a charity dog walk.

 
Saturday 3 July 2004 - Eagle Wing Festival

The band will be leading a parade through Groomsport, Co. Down for the start of the Eagle Wing Festival.


Thursday 8 July to Sunday 11 July 2004 Mazamet, France

The band will be travelling to France in July to take part in an International Band Festival in Mazamet.


July, August and September 2004

During these three months the band will be playing for the arrival of various cruise ships in Belfast. The biggest event will be on Thursday 2 September when the band will be playing for the arrival of the biggest cruise ship in the world, the Grand Princess. (See Table below for details).

Past Events 2003

Limerick and Sligo 15th to 17th March 2003

The band once again travelled south to Limerick for the anual International Band competition.  The band played in the competiton on Saturday night and took part in the parade on Sunday morning. After the parade we travelled up to Sligo to take part in a joint concert with the Sligo Concert Band.  This was a very enjoyable evening and our concert program was warmly received by the audience in the Hawkwell Theatre.  The band also took part in the St. Patrick's Day parade and we were delighted to receive the prize for the best band in the parade.

 

Galway Oyster Festival 27th and 28th September 2003

The band took part in the Galway Oyster Festival, playing in the Oyster Festival Marquee on Saturday and Sunday afternoons as well as entertaining guests at the Oyster Festival dinner on Saturday night in the Radisson Sas Hotel.

 

Past Events 2002

The Friendship Band played a lively set of music to welcome passengers arriving on cruise ships on various dates throughout the summer.


Bornemouth Music Makers Festival 2002
Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 June 2002

Thursday evening - International Marching Bands Night & Firework Display in the Kings Park Athletic Stadium.

Friday evening - Concert in the Littledown Park & Sports Centre.

Saturday evening - Played at the Bandstand and Gardens with our friends from Bournemouth the GUGGE 2000 band.


Hillsborough Oyster Festival
Saturday 31 August 2002

The Friendship Band performed in the town during the Oyster Festival.
